Note:
The cows are allowed by Government to graze in the Phoenix-Park.

There are four Out-Door Workmen employed throughout the Year, and receive weekly the Wages of the Country; and are disposed of thus - A Plowman - A Carter - and two to Labour. The Plowman has charge of two of the Horses, at constant Work in the Grounds ploughing and drawing dung. The Carter has charge of the third Hose used for Marketing, and conveying various Articles to and from Dublin. The Carter also assists the Corporal Pioneers in Foddering, Herding, and Milking the Cows, and keeping clean the Farm Yard. The Labourers assist the Gardener in such Work as the Boys are unable to perform.
